Summer TV Reminder: Leverage on TNT

20 Jun

I hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful summer, even though here it is pouring, and I want to remind everyone to tune into my favorite TNT series Leverage. The Robin Hood/heist drama led by Timothy Hutton is back on a new night Sunday and with two new episodes starting on 9/8c. TNT is giving us two weeks of back to back episodes then it will air at its normal time at 9.

I have seen the premiere episodes and for the first time in the series, the season will really be about one consistent story-line more so than the other continuous stories the show has presented. The lovely Elisabetta Canalis plays “The Italian” a mysterious woman who reaches to Hutton’s Tim in his dark hours after we left him last season being arrested and taken to prison. Below is a preview of the fun season and I highly suggest you return or check out for the first time Leverage, 9/8c on TNT.

Reminder: Great Episode of Leverage Tonight.

26 Aug

Leverage is all new tonight and if you are at all interested in the show, check it out tonight. In an episode with guest stars, Wil Wheaton and Griffin Dunne, the team goes after a painting before an opposing team does. I have seen the episode and it is suburb with great humor, and action. The show has it all. Leverage airs tonight at 9/8c on TNT.

Great Summer TV: Warehouse 13 and Leverage

18 Aug

This summer we have been blessed with some great TV and some not so great TV. There is of course the fun reality like Kathy Griffin and Wipeout, and the not so great, Kendra but we also get some fun scripted fare.

warehouse13Warehouse 13 is a new drama to Syfy this year that started in early July. I was not too crazy about it when it premiered but now half the season later I find myself wanting the next episode more and more. It is light hearted, interesting, fun, and a journey through the US with a group of likeable characters in Peter Lattimer (Eddie McClintock), Myka Bering (Joanne Kelly), Artie Nielsen (Saul Rubinek), and the welcome addition of teen hacker Claudia (Allison Scagliotti).

Each episode surrounds Myka and Pete finding a different troubled artifact with Artie and Claudia managing the warehouse that holds them as well as helping the agents from the base. The artifacts are intriguing and original and I enjoy every minute.

Check this out on Syfy tonight at 9/8c and here is a preview.

LEVERAGE_TwoLiveCrewJob_02_ChristianKane_TimothyHutton_GinaBellman_BethRiesgraf_PH_ErikHeinila_12682_2381A familiar face is also making me smile this summer which is TNT’s heist drama Leverage. This season has been consistant in delivering in that fun charm that it brings all the time. Last week’s episode was the best one of the series ever which showed the team trying to take down a Nancy Grace like reporter played by the great Beth Broderick. If you have not watched Leverage, it is an easy show to jump into and below is a sneak peek at tomorrow’s “job”. The first season is also now out on DVD.

Leverage and Dark Blue finish TNT's Summer Lineup Tonight!

14 Jul

TNT so far is the place to be on basic cable for a consistent source for summer drama on TV that is new and original.

First, Leverage starts its second season. Last winter was by far my favorite new cable show by a mile. It is fun, original, fast paced, and all around a joy to watch. The second season premiere is no exception. The show starts after a decent number of months after we last saw the team split apart. A situation involving Nate (Timothy Hutton) brings the group together again and they realize why they love this people so much.

The premiere drags at some points but the humor and acting bring it up to be a great hour of the seires. The best, no, but up there, yes. Check it out and here is a 2 minute preview of the new season starting tonight at 9/8c.

Second is a new drama from uber-producer Jerry Bruckheimer called Dark Blue. It stars Dylan McDermott and Logan Marshall Green as member as a very underground group of undercover cops. They make there own rules and that creates many problems. I saw the premiere episode a couple weeks ago and after thinking about it I really enjoyed it. It is by far not as good as other action shows such as Leverage, but it is a good start to a series with lots of potential. I enjoyed the gritty nature of the pilot with its dark undertones and mystery surrounding the team. Here is a preview of the series that airs at 10/9c.

Tonight's TV is All About the "Privileged" President

24 Feb

barack-obama-bw1Tonight, President Obama is about to deliver the “State of Our Nation” to the Congress. This is a momentous day but with every momentous day there is always one thing that suffers, and this time it network primetime television. There is a limited number of new TV on tonight but there is definitely some great stuff though. Tonight, there are two season finales of two great shows. They are TNT’s Leverage, which had one hell of a part one last week and from what I have heard ends with the best episode of the series to date. TNT is airing the entire series all day leading up to the episode at 10/9c.

joanna-garcia-privileged_lAlso on tonight is Privileged on The CW. This little gem hidden in a highly completive time slot. The show surrounds a home town girl who moves back home to write and tudor some very rich kids while finding herself. The show has some much charm it is such a joy to watch and it is limbo on wether it will get a second season. Tonight’s episode features my favorite lady Kathy Griffin and she plays the wedding planner to Marco and Keith’s wedding. Also, Megan and Will are in turmoil as well as the Baker family. I love this show!

Obama is preempting the second hour of The Biggest Loser on NBC, a Mentalist on CBS, Scrubs on ABC, and finally American Idol on FOX. Idol will air tomorrow for two hours with the results on Thursday at 8/7c.
